- 1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sushi rice, ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper.
- 2.Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- 3.Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold in half to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges firmly to seal.
- 4.Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook for about 5 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- 5.Using a slotted spoon, transfer the cooked dumplings to a plate.
- 6.Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cooked dumplings and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until lightly browned.
- 7.Serve the Sushi Pelmeni hot, garnished with sliced green onions, and with soy dipping sauce on the side.
lightbulb_outline Tips
- Make sure to seal the dumplings tightly to prevent the filling from leaking out during cooking.
- You can make a large batch of Sushi Pelmeni and freeze them for later. Just boil and pan-fry them when you're ready to enjoy!
- Feel free to customize the filling by adding your favorite ingredients like mushrooms, ginger, or even cheese.
