- 1.Preheat your oven to 300°F.
- 2.In a large Dutch oven, heat some oil over medium-high heat. Add the brisket and sear it on all sides until it's browned. Remove the brisket from the pot and set it aside.
- 3.Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- 4.Return the brisket to the pot and spoon the sauce over the top. Cover the pot with a lid and transfer it to the oven. Cook for 6 hours, or until the brisket is very tender.
- 5.Remove the pot from the oven and let the brisket rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
