- 1.Preheat oven to 325°F. Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove beef from pot and set aside.
- 2.Add onions to pot and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes. Return beef to pot and add enough water to cover. Bring to a simmer, then cover and transfer to oven. Cook until beef is tender, about 6-8 hours.
- 3.Remove beef from pot and shred with two forks. Toast baguette slices and top with beef, onions, and Swiss cheese. Broil until cheese is melted and bubbly.
