- 1.In a large bowl, mix together the flour, water, and salt until a dough forms. Knead for 10 minutes, then let rest for 30 minutes.
- 2.Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Add the coriander, cumin, paprika, and black pepper and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- 3.Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut out circles using a biscuit cutter or glass. Add a spoonful of the meat mixture to the center of each circle, then pinch the edges together to seal, leaving a small opening at the top. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.
- 4.In a large pot of boiling water, cook the khinkali for 10-12 minutes, or until they float to the top and the dough is cooked through. Serve hot with a side of beef broth for dipping.
lightbulb_outline Tips
- Make sure to seal the khinkali tightly to prevent the broth from leaking out while cooking.
- Feel free to adjust the spices in the filling to your liking.
- These dumplings can also be made with lamb or pork instead of beef.
