  1. 1.Preheat oven to 200C.
  2. 2.Heat butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and carrots and cook until soft.
  3. 3.Add meat to the pan and cook until browned.
  4. 4.Add flour to the pan and stir until combined.
  5. 5.Slowly add stock to the pan, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  6. 6.Roll out the puff pastry and cut into circles to fit the bottom and top of your pie dish.
  7. 7.Line the bottom of the pie dish with pastry and add the meat mixture.
  8. 8.Top with the remaining pastry and brush with beaten egg.
  9. 9.Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
