- 1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
- 2.Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.
- 3.In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and onion is tender. Drain fat.
- 4.Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, and oregano. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 5.In a medium bowl, combine cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, and egg.
- 6.Spread 1 cup of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer with 3 lasagna noodles, 1/3 of the cheese mixture, and 1 cup of the meat sauce. Repeat layers twice. Top with remaining 3 lasagna noodles and remaining meat sauce.
- 7.Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 25 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
