- 1.In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso or coffee with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Set aside.
- 2.In a large mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, remaining sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- 3.Dip each ladyfinger half into the coffee mixture, making sure to coat both sides. Place the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer in a 9x9-inch dish.
- 4.Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 5.Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible.
- 6.Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder and sprinkle with grated dark chocolate.
- 7.Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy!
